SAN RAFAEL CAVE
RULES & REGULATIONS
USER ACCESS REQUIREMENTS
Equipment
1.       Helmet
2.       Main Source of Light: Headlamp, Torch and Lantern
3.       Backup Sources of Light
4.       First Aid Kit ( For Cave Guide )
5.       Knee Pads, if you have sensitive knees. ( Optional )
USER QUALIFICATIONS
A.      General User
1.       Proper Equipment
2.       In good physical conditions.
a.       No heart or breathing difficulties
b.      No recent surgery or illness
c.       No muscle or bone problems
d.      No visual impairment, i.e. depth perception or night blindness
e.      No fear on heights
f.        No claustrophobic
g.       No pregnant
3.       Agrees with cave conservation principles
4.       Agrees with proper  safety practice
5.       Understand potential risks involved
6.       Signs the log book at Tourist information
7.       Agrees the authority of cave guide
RULES ON CAVE TOUR
1.       Register properly on log book at Tourist information
2.       Wear safety equipment
3.       Speak softly inside the cave
4.       Do not touch the walls or other rock formations
5.       Do not scare cave dwellers
6.       Drinking liquor and vandalism is prohibited
7.       Children below 12 years old should be accompanied by an adult at all time
8.       No caving after 5:00 pm

B.      Qualified Cave Guide
1.       Meets all requirements of general user
2.       Resident of Brgy. San Rafael at least 6 months
3.       At least 18 years old of age
4.       Attended the following seminars/trainings:
a.       First Aid
b.      Tour reception & Cave Guiding
c.       Cave Resources Conservation & Management
5.       Knows how to find way out of the cave
6.       Knows how to locate the cave
 CAVE GUIDE RESPONSIBILTIES
1.       A cave guide’s first priority is the safety of each visitor of the cave tour. A second priority is the preservation of all cave resources
2.       A cave guide may ( and should ) abort any cave tour when questionable safety practices, or behavior contrary San Rafael Cave rules and regulations.
3.        A cave guide is responsible in Tourist information: logbook, key, cave equipment, cave environmental & maintenance fee ticket and cave guide service fee ticket.
4.       A cave guide is required ti have one day monthly community service at San Rafael Cave or Dike.
5.       A cave guide must give 10% from cave guide service fee for association fund.
